Why Visiting Egypt has Never Been Cheaper
Egypt has never been an outstandingly lucrative destination despite all it has to offer:
pristine beaches, natural beauty, and historical locations. Suffice it to say, it costs next to peanuts to visit the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still intact as opposed to visiting the Eiffel Tower (unless you are located in France) for example.
However, it is now even cheaper due to yet another flotation of the pound which makes any foreign currency worth almost double what it used to.
What does that mean?
If you would have visited Egypt 6 months ago it would have cost, let’s say for example, two hundred dollars for a one week stay. Today, that number could be halved if the
facilities and activities are the same. This is a perfect opportunity for both the seekers of luxury, as well as those seeking to save some money.
Furthermore, the same could be said about investment opportunities that relate to tourism. It is expected that there will be an influx of tourists visiting Egypt in the years to
come due to the steady rise in tourism that has been observed in these past few months following the flotation of the pound. With this high volume of tourists coming into country, satisfactory boarding will be in very high demand. To ride this wave, it is invariably a smart decision to buy villas, apartments or housing complexes in desirable areas and rent it out for short to medium term visitors for a steady and passive source of income.
Are Desirable Areas in High Supply in Egypt?
Egypt is one of the few tourist destinations that has what is called the “full package.” Beach destinations all year round given its 1,050 km (650 mi) Mediterranean coast line
and the Red Sea coastline that extends all the way through Egypt’s Eastern border, in addition to the Sinai Peninsula which boasts some of the world’s most beautiful marine life. Although the North Coast (Mediterranean Sea Coast) is almost exclusively a summer attraction due to weather, it is heavily developed with some of the most
beautiful fully fledged communities as well as aptly equipped shopping centres all the while boasting a vibrant nightlife. The same could be said about the Red Sea areas,
however, these are more reliable given its all-year round season.
In addition to all this, Egypt is a very historic place for those who are interested in walking the streets of Cairo and appreciating the classic architecture, visiting the historic
enigmas that are the Pyramids, or even observing the Pharaonic touch by traversing the River Nile.
It is fair to say that in every corner of Egypt, there is a real estate investment opportunity.
